In 1 Samuel chapters 21-24 we find David running and fleeing through the wilderness from Saul. His foundations have all fallen away from him. He is in fear and distress over the actions of Saul who is trying to take not only his life, but the life of his family members. Although it seems that the time in the wilderness is where death will occur, we find that it is in the wilderness where we are formed. It is not the wilderness that forms us. But rather the choices we make and who we will run towards while in the wilderness. Both Saul and David were in the wilderness. But only David turns to God as his refuge in his time of need. Join Pastor Mark as he asks us to consider if we turn to God during our journey of life.
