Our gospel story is of a scribe approaching Jesus who has heard him and saw something unique about him, so he questions him in an effort to discover. In this, we hear Jesus share we are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and our neighbor as our self. Nothing of our being is left out of the call of Jesus. We are to give ourselves to God ALONE with all our cards on the table, our devotion to Him is to be the bottom line.
